Mona Vale Road East Upgrade

The NSW Government is upgrading Mona Vale Road from two lanes to four lanes between Terrey Hills and Mona Vale. The project was staged to provide customers with a better travelling experience and to improve safety and traffic efficiency. Georgiou was tasked with undertaking the first stage of the Mona Vale Road East project, which involves the upgrade of 3.2 kilometres of Mona Vale Road between Manor Road, Ingleside and Foley Street, Mona Vale.

The upgrade involves building additional climbing and descending lanes to improve travel times and includes the upgrade of the Mona Vale Road/Ponderosa Parade roundabout to a signalised intersection.

Ineco provided environmental management support to Georgiou to assist in the management of noise and vibration (out of hours work), contamination, earthworks, as well as erosion and sediment control.
Ineco was responsible for preparing and implementing the contractor’s management plans, erosion and sediment control plans, noise monitoring, site inspections, subcontractor management, client liaising and record keeping as well as liaising with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
