Ineco Scope of Work:

Stephen Edwards Constructions (SEC) was engaged by Transport for NSW to add a further three levels to an existing three-level commuter car park at Warwick Farm Station in Sydney’s southwestern suburbs. SEC engaged Ineco for Community and Stakeholder Engagement. A multistorey community were in close proximity meaning that many community members were affected by construction noise. Commuters suffered disruption through loss of parking during the construction work. Through a systematic and interactive approach, Ineco kept the community informed of progress and of planned work, and engaged in early engagement with key stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.

The Warwick Farm community is strongly multicultural, and many residents are not fluent in English; Ineco ensured that translation services were available at all times. Ineco negotiated crane swing licences for a tower crane on site with owners in two multistorey apartment blocks. And SEC’s scope required occupation of an area of adjacent public park through which many commuters access the station. Ineco provided updated wayfinding signage throughout the project. This overall approach delivered a very low rate of complaints despite the levels of disruption to the community. The completed commuter car park has eased on-street parking providing benefits to both local residents and commuters.
